If you need to find qualified employees then the job fair is the place you need to be.  As a job fair exhibitor you will have access to hundreds of job searchers in a short period of time for a minimal investment.

Nearly 150 companies will participate in the Gwinnett Business Expo & Job Fair and be exposed to more than 5,000 business owners, potential customers and executives gathering together at the Gwinnett Business Expo & Job Fair at Gwinnett Center. This one-day event keeps participants on the competitive edge with networking and educational opportunities sure to make a positive difference in any business’ bottom line.

By purchasing a booth, research has shown you are likely to generate 20 to 30 solid leads and display your product or service to more than 400 qualified prospects each hour.

Silent Auction

Going once…going twice…it’ll be gone before you know it. This year, at the 2013 Gwinnett Business Expo and Job Fair, Delta Community Credit Union is sponsoring a Silent Auction. But it’s anything but silent and actually requires the art of scavenging to obtain ‘Chamber Credit’ with which to bid on your items. Here’s how it works:

  1. Each attendee to the Expo will receive a ‘Chamber Credit Card’.
  2. To load this card, attendees must visit the expo booths and follow the instructions to obtain a stamp from said booth representative.
  3. There are quantity levels per action achieved (aka leave a business card – $10 stamp; leave a card and speak for 10 minutes to a representative – $25 stamp). The more attendees engage the booth reps, the more they get in credit.
  4. Take stamped credit card to the silent auctioneer and bid on the preferred items up to the limit collected on the credit card.
  5. Fill up the card at the highest participation level and be recognized at the conclusion of the Expo.

Booth personnel will be given a stamp at the beginning of the day. Amount of credit given is at the discretion of the booth representative engaged in communication with the participant. No purchase is necessary for any of the booths and meetings or transactions that come as a result of this exercise are not the responsibility of the Gwinnett Chamber.

Make the most of your booth.

  • Have you decided on your booth display, your give-aways and staffing schedule?  Don’t wait to fine-tune your plans.  Double check your inventory list, develop your booth theme and conduct a dry run with employees.
  • Promote your exhibit to potential customers through your website, newsletter, emails and other all other communication avenues.
  • Make sure your customers, clients and employees know you will be at the Expo & Job Fair!
  • In addition to manning your booth you will want to make time to visit the other exhibitors and possibly attend a free business seminar.  Make sure your booth is properly staffed so you can take advantage of everything the event has to offer.
  • Develop your collateral materials and design your booth to convey the message you want potential customers to see.  Be creative!  The interactive booths always have the highest attendance. Don’t be afraid to have interactive displays to draw in attendees!
  • Start planning for the day AFTER the event.  This is where your hard work and networking pays off.  You will have a list of potential customers to make follow up calls, set appointments and conduct consultations with!  Make sure you have a system in place to ensure efficient follow ups on your Expo leads so you do not lose business.
  • Be sure to where your exhibitor badge so everyone can identify you!
